In this day and age, advances in technology have enabled us to sound smart by correcting our writings. Why is it, then, that people still misuse simple words, such as homophones? Could it be that we have gotten so used to computers doing everything for us that we have become lackadaisical with our language? Perhaps it is just due to the fact that adolescents and even adults of today have not been taught how to correctly use grammar and punctuation.
